On the night of last Friday, the municipal theater of San Bartolomé was filled with romanticism with the songs of the musical group "Mencey Romántico". Formed by six great musicians from Tenerife from different backgrounds and musical experiences, they conquered the audience. l
The concert called "Following the Footsteps of the Bolero", based on compositions that are already part of the musical anthology and that sounded more than 50 years ago in the voices of trios as famous as Los Panchos, Los Tres Diamentes or the Calavera trio among others. Mencey Romántico since its formation in 2009 are increasingly requested as their performances become very pleasant evenings where in each of them take care of the smallest detail. The repertoire chosen for this occasion was filled with songs like El Reloj, Toda una Vida or Si tu me dices Ven. Without a doubt, a claim from the public that follows them.
In these six years that they have been as a musical formation they have already recorded live on disc where the most representative of bolero, ballads or guajiras is collected. The performance of the Tenerife formation by the municipal theater of San Bartolomé ended with the mythical song "Si tú me dices ven", moment in which the six members descended from the stage to the stalls joining their voices to those of the public that very enthusiastically accompanied them until the end.
