A new boat with 55 people has been rescued this Saturday morning by Salvamento Marítimo in waters near Lanzarote, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
They have been transferred to the Commercial dock where they have been assisted by the Red Cross. All the occupants of the boat are of sub-Saharan origin, and there are 44 men and 11 women among them.
According to the Red Cross, one of them had to be transferred to Molina Orosa for different pathologies.
With these, there are already 8 boats that have reached Lanzarote so far this week. .
