Marcial Cabrera Reyes, "Chalo", sailor and model maker from Arrecife, passed away this Friday, December 24 at the age of 92.
"Chalo" was a sailor, he also worked in the construction sector, and since childhood he felt a passion for modeling. Self-taught, he designed a collection of around a dozen models that meticulously replicate boats from the Lanzarote fishing fleet. Some of the works of art that make up the collection that could be seen in his house in Valterra are reproductions of boats that were captained by Marcial himself more than 50 years ago, such as Rosarito or Judi.
The wake is installed in the Tanatorio de Alianza Canaria. The celebration of the word will take place on December 25 at 5:15 p.m. in the chapel of the same center.
