“Relevant Women” has been the winning video of the 1st Contest "Women facing Covid-19 convened by the Charter 100 Lanzarote Association. Its author is Luz María Duque Dorta, who has related her experience as a teacher during confinement, taking a tour of those women relevant in History for their artistic, scientific or social contributions.
“Historia de un abrazo interior” by Miriam Hernández and “¡Pues nada!” by Arantza Borrego have been finalists.
Charter 100 Lanzarote wants to thank the ten participants for their video-stories, since they have complied "in quality, originality and content" with the purpose of this contest, which sought to value the role of women during confinement.
The association highlights that "different studies and surveys have confirmed that Covid-19 has not only intensified the vulnerability of women in many areas, for example with an increase in domestic violence, but it has also been shown that women have borne a greater workload at home."
According to Charter 100 Lanzarote, this 1st Contest “Women facing COVID-19” has reached 6,086 people through its Facebook profile.
