The San Román cemetery in Arrecife hosted this Thursday a tribute to the soldiers "fallen for the Homeland", who died in the line of duty.

The event, which was presided over by the chief colonel of the Marqués de Herrera Barracks of Lanzarote, began with the picket of honors carrying the pennant, which remained on both sides of the pantheon where the mortal remains of the deceased soldiers rest.
Next, the song 'Death is not the end' was sung and the parish priest of San Ginés and Archpriest of Lanzarote, Miguel Hernández, said a prayer for the fallen.

Afterwards, the floral offering took place, in which the mayoress of the Arrecife City Council, Ástrid Pérez, and the chief colonel of the Marqués de Herrera Barracks participated, ending the act of homage with the Toque de Oración.
