Aemet's warning forecast for this Friday

The high temperatures forecast for this Friday have forced the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) to establish a red warning for extreme risk. Between 11:00 a.m. and, at least, until 8:00 p.m. the island will suffer one of the worst parts of the heat wave and will reach up to 40 degrees.

The presence of suspended dust from the African continent is affecting the entire Archipelago, at the same time that the heat is already decreasing in the rest of the country.

Likewise and for this reason, Aemet maintains the yellow warning for suspended dust and with a visibility of 3,000 meters.

The southern half of the island will be the most affected by the rise in the thermometer, according to the Aemet forecast. Likewise, the high presence of suspended dust has forced the yellow warning for haze to be maintained, mainly affecting high areas and southern slopes, but where a visibility of 3,000 meters will be maintained.

Forecast for Saturday and Sunday

The forecast for this Saturday will not improve either, where 40 degrees may also be reached or exceeded at times. The time slot of greatest risk for the first day of the weekend will be between 11 a.m. and 7:59 p.m. However, the entire weekend will be affected by the presence of suspended dust. Also, it is expected that the minimums will remain above 25 degrees.

As for temperatures, on Sunday the orange warnings for extreme temperatures of up to 38 degrees will remain. The haze will not leave the island during this period either.
