National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested two men, aged 27 and 30, both with police records, as alleged perpetrators of a violent robbery.
The events were triggered after a man called 091, reporting that he had just been the victim of a violent robbery at his home in Arrecife.
The police officers who went to the scene interviewed the victim, who stated that moments before, while he was sleeping, he heard noises in the bathroom and when he looked out, he saw two individuals who asked him for a cigarette through the window, to which he replied that he did not have one. Immediately afterwards, these same individuals violently knocked down the entrance door of the house, hit him until they managed to steal several watches and a mobile phone, and then fled the scene.
The victim went to a nearby health center to be treated for his injuries.
Immediately, the police officers, with the physical characteristics provided by the victim, carried out a search of the vicinity, locating the alleged perpetrators, one on Hermanos Álvarez Quintero street and the other on La Carmen street in the capital of Lanzarote.
The National Police proceeded to arrest both as alleged perpetrators of a violent robbery. They were no longer carrying the allegedly stolen items.
After drawing up the corresponding police report, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
