The National Police have arrested three individuals accused of the crime of vehicle theft. The events took place, according to data from the National Police Corps, after agents from the Local Citizen Security Brigade observed the three detainees inside a parked car.
After verifying through the computer systems of the General Directorate of the Police that said vehicle was listed as stolen, the agents arrested the three occupants, who were identified as Mohamed M., a native of Algeria, 40 years old and with no less than 50 previous arrests, his last record having been registered at the end of last October; Harned A., a native of Morocco, 35 years old; and Cheikha Ould A., a native of Mauritania, 28 years old and with 4 previous arrests for various reasons.
The three detainees were transferred to the Arrecife Police Station, where the corresponding police proceedings were carried out, after which they were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
The effects seized were recognized by the owner of the vehicle, who had filed the relevant complaint with the Civil Guard of Tías.
