Members of the National Police Force attached to the Local Citizen Security Brigade have arrested Mariano S. O., a native of Arrecife, 49 years old, who has 16 previous convictions for crimes against property, drug trafficking and others, and who on this occasion has been brought to justice accused of a crime of robbery with force.
While patrolling Gómez Ulla Street, agents observed an individual carrying a briefcase containing a jackhammer. After informing the Local Judicial Police Brigade, its officers carried out investigations and verified that said tool had been stolen last year from a construction site on Lérida Street, so they proceeded to arrest the aforementioned and bring him to justice.
In another action by the National Police, Rachid N., a native of Morocco, 21 years old, who has two arrests for crimes against property, has been arrested for attempting to steal various products from a supermarket in Arrecife and, when surprised by an employee, tried to flee and threatened those present with a screwdriver. Similarly, Juan Manuel L. B., a native of Cádiz, 19 years old, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft of a motorcycle that was recovered when the individual was dismantling it.
Finally, in recent days, officers of the Family Assistance Service (SAF) of the National Police have arrested and brought to the Family Court, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of mistreatment in the family environment, Jorge Andrés V., a native of Colombia, 21 years old, Fernando Andrés G. Ch., a native of Chile, 47 years old, and Antonio Francisco G. P., a native of Vigo, 41 years old.
