The third injured and only survivor of the head-on collision between two cars on January 19 is evolving favorably within the severity of the injuries he suffered.
When the paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident, the injured man was outside the vehicle lying on the asphalt of the road. In addition, two women died in the collision, one 71 years old and the other 51, the latter being a foreigner.
As will be recalled, emergency personnel had to extricate the drivers because they were trapped inside the two cars. The 71-year-old woman was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so CPR maneuvers were performed until the on-call doctor certified her death.
