The head-on collision in Puerto del Carmen has claimed another life. This is the driver of the other vehicle involved in the tragic accident.
The injured woman had to be rescued by firefighters and had been transferred in serious condition to the Molina Orosa Hospital but has not been able to overcome the injuries suffered.
As will be recalled, the accident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19 on the LZ-40 near Matagorda. The two drivers, one of them Plácida Hernández, had to be rescued by firefighters after being trapped in the cars.
A third person, a man, was also injured and was evacuated to the hospital.
