At approximately 10:00 am this Wednesday, a patrol boat of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard intercepted a boat stranded in the area known as Barranco del Mulión, in the municipality of Teguise, observing the absence of occupants on board.
Immediately, the Civil Guard activated the Territorial Fiscal Patrol of Lanzarote and the Civil Guard Post of Costa Teguise, which initiated a search operation, managing to locate six illegal immigrants, all of them adult males, of Moroccan nationality.
The Civil Guard took charge of all those intercepted, who were later handed over to the National Police Corps of Arrecife de Lanzarote.
The boat, a wooden vessel of 6 meters in length by 1.5 meters in beam and equipped with a 15 hp engine, was removed by the municipal cleaning services, with its engine provisionally deposited in the facilities of the Fiscal Patrol in Costa Teguise.
