In all cases, the "modus operandi" used was the same. During the early hours of the morning and after requesting the services of a taxi, they requested to be transferred to the town of Mozaga. Once there, they instructed the taxi driver to go to a certain dead-end street in the aforementioned town, where, after intimidating and seriously threatening the taxi drivers with a knife, they seized the money collected. Subsequently, by means of threats, they forced the taxi drivers to take them back to Arrecife where they abandoned the vehicle.

They repeated these robberies up to four times from the early hours of last Sunday until well into noon. Last Monday three individuals were arrested for their alleged participation in the robberies. Until that moment there were a total of three complaints for similar, practically identical events, although police officers are aware that there is at least one more victim who has not yet been identified.

With the money obtained they acquired narcotic substances that they consumed in the garage of one of the detainees, which was searched once the arrests were made. The knives used to commit the acts and the clothes they were wearing, as well as some of the effects stolen from the taxi drivers, were recovered.

The three detainees turned out to be Pedro Manuel U. C., 35 years old, with ten previous records for very diverse crimes, Daniel G. B., 25 years old, with a total of 14 previous records, including a Judicial Claim, both natives of Arrecife, and Alberto C. D., 21 years old, native of Sta. Cruz de Tenerife, with 2 arrests and a Judicial Claim, who, together with the proceedings processed and the effects seized, have been placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

The Arrecife Police Station continues the efforts to clarify the robbery of the fourth taxi driver victim of the events.
