A young man died this Monday at noon after falling in his vehicle through the Risco de Famara.
According to health sources moved to the vicinity of the Ermita de Las Nieves, in Teguise, who received the alert about 12:26 hours, the car fell into the void many meters high, so when arriving at the area, nothing could be done to save the life of the victim, who suffered a strong impact.
Unofficial sources confirmed to lavozdelanzarote.com that the deceased, who apparently had not yet turned 20 years old, is a direct relative of a political representative on the Island.
After an Emergencies and Rescues Lanzarote unit (Emerlan) descended to seize the lifeless body of the victim, a helicopter from the Emergency Intervention Group of the Government of the Canary Islands (GIE) evacuated the deceased to the Guacimeta airport for later transfer to the General Hospital depot.
Several units of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), a unit and a rescue vehicle from the Red Cross and personnel from Emergencies and Rescues Lanzarote (Emerlan), as well as personnel from the Local Police of Teguise and the Civil Guard, went to the scene.
