A house in Arrecife suffered a fire on Tuesday afternoon, which forced firefighters to intervene. The event took place on Valle Inclán street, in the Argana neighborhood, where a unit of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium had to go.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, "smoke was coming out of the house and the flames could be seen through the windows," according to the Consortium. In addition, since the door was closed, they had to force it to gain access to the interior.
Once inside, they proceeded to extinguish the flames, which affected a sofa and several appliances located in the living room. As for the rest of the house, it was affected by the gases.
Before ending the service, the firefighters repaired the door and recommended that the owner and tenant of the property not remain inside, due to "the gases and damage to a wall in the living room and the electrical installation."
