An 84-year-old man suffered minor burns to his face and hands, as well as an anxiety crisis, after a fire broke out in his home on Isaac Peral Street in Arrecife. As a result of the injuries, he had to be transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Valterra Health Center.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. this Wednesday, a call alerted the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2, reporting that a fire had broken out in a single-family home. The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

Personnel from the Consortium of Security, Emergencies, Rescue, Prevention and Extinguishing of Fires of Lanzarote extinguished the flames, which affected an appliance, and ventilated the building.

The SUC health personnel assisted a single affected person, who suffers from Alzheimer's, and transferred him to the health center in the area. The police forces deployed to the scene of the incident collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources and prepared the appropriate reports.
