A worker at Guinate Tropical Park has died this Friday after being run over by a tractor, inside the facilities of this center, as confirmed to La Voz by the Civil Guard. The accident occurred around 11:56 a.m.
The victim was maneuvering with a tractor. When getting off it, it ran over him, apparently because it was without brakes, according to sources close to the event told La Voz. The deceased was a native of Lanzarote and was about 50 years old.
Paramedics from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) with a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance went to the scene. Agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Haría also attended.
The SUC and primary care personnel from the Haría Health Center verified that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for more than an hour, which were unsuccessful. Finally, they could only confirm his death.
The Judicial Police also went to Guinate Tropical Park, as well as a judge to proceed with the removal of the body.
