A 45-year-old man died at noon on Sunday, April 29, while diving in the port of Marina Rubicón, in the municipality of Yaiza, in Lanzarote, according to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The events occurred at 12:55 p.m., when 112 received a call alerting that there was a diver in a state of unconsciousness on the pier of the port.

The health personnel of two ambulances of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) went to the place, who began resuscitation maneuvers on the young man, but could not save his life because he had suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest.

The Local Police of Yaiza collaborated in the access of emergency resources to the place and the Civil Guard carried out the appropriate procedures.
