The Civil Guard of Tías has arrested D.C.R., a native of Córdoba, 22 years old, accused of a continuous theft crime in Lanzarote.

The aforementioned is involved in a series of robberies perpetrated for approximately a month in the "Aquarius" tourist complex apartments, in Puerto del Carmen, whose victims were foreigners who had cash, jewelry, mobile phones and image and sound effects stolen, all valued at 7,000 euros.

In order to establish the authorship of these events and for their total clarification, agents of the Civil Guard of the Investigation Area of the Main Post of Tías initiated the investigations.

After inspections carried out in the apartments, it was determined that in none of the cases did the author force the doors and windows. Even the safety boxes installed inside the bedrooms did not show signs of force either.

These evidences allowed the researchers to determine that the author was probably an employee of the complex itself. Once the investigation was focused, the agents verified the times in which the robberies occurred, in addition to who were the workers who were on duty at those times, and who had access to the keys to the apartments.

Once all the evidence was collected and the evidence that revealed the identity of the thief was collected, the Civil Guard arrested the aforementioned employee, who turned out to be a member of the maintenance service of the hotel complex.

The detainee, accused of a continuous theft crime, was placed at judicial disposal in Arrecife.
