A house in Arrecife has suffered a fire at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday. The event took place in a house on León y Castillo street, in the capital of Lanzarote.

Alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands (Cecoes) 112, the firefighters of the Lanzarote Consortium have moved to the area. According to the data they were handling at first, it was feared that a person was inside the house, affected by the fire.

For this reason, they have searched the apartment, for which they had to break six doors. Luckily, they have not located any person, but they have rescued a dog that was in this home.

According to the first data, the fire affected a mattress in a room on the first floor. Once the fire was extinguished, the firefighters ventilated the entire house and ended the service.

The house above has been affected by the smoke, so the firefighters have entered with the National Police to open the doors and windows and thus ventilate the home.
