A 34-year-old man has been slightly injured by smoke poisoning after a fire broke out in his home, located on Góngora street in Arrecife. The incident occurred at approximately 01:12 am this Monday, when a call alerted the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Firefighters went to the scene and carried out the tasks of extinguishing the flames and ventilating the building, located on the second floor of a three-story building.
In addition, the Canary Emergency Service sent a basic life support ambulance, which had to transfer the injured man to a hospital due to smoke inhalation.
Local Police and National Police officers also went to the scene and were in charge of instructing the corresponding proceedings.
