A Civil Guard Traffic agent, 31 years old and originally from Cáceres, has died in an accident on the road from San Bartolomé to the César Manrique Foundation. The event occurred this Thursday near the Zonzamas Environmental Center, on the LZ-34 road, which connects the towns of San Bartolomé and Tahíche.
The motorcycle driven by the agent collided, apparently, with a van coming in the other direction. As a result of the impact, both the agent and the motorcycle were thrown off, and even the vehicle caught fire. Therefore, the presence of firefighters was required, who had to put out this fire.
The accident occurred after 7:00 p.m. this Thursday at kilometer 6 of the aforementioned road, within the municipality of Arrecife.
Other Civil Guard agents have also traveled to the scene, who are shocked by the event. Likewise, members of the Teguise Local Police and two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) have also attended.
