The Lanzarote Literature Festival (FDLL) will arrive on the island on April 25 with a talk by Karina Sainz Borgo, among many other activities such as literary workshops, a "necessary novelty", says the director of the festival, Carlos Battaglini.

The festival came into the world in 2023 and a year later, the FDLL is still a baby who left behind the first whimper. A baby with fine and sparse hair, open eyes, restless; guided by curiosity and the desire to consolidate this literary adventure. The FDLL once again offers a cast of high-quality writers, such as Karina Sainz Borgo, Paulina Flores, Alberto Olmos, Marta Jiménez Serrano, Álvaro Colomer and Juan Manual de Prada.

All of this will help to progressively consolidate this cultural commitment, to continue believing in Lanzarote as a literary niche, by right and tradition. "There is still a lot of work to be done, but there is no lack of enthusiasm. The first step has already arrived, the desire is still here. We walk together," the director pointed out.

Under the slogan 'Growing healthy. Sheltered again by an ideal setting, such as Lanzarote', at the festival we "(literarily) riddled first-rate writers over eight months that were too short for us, like any good story that comes our way. We had a pleasant experience in unique settings," concludes Battaglini.
