Santa Claus arrived in Playa Blanca a day before the scheduled date, this Saturday, December 23rd, at Plaza del Carmen, in the heart of the southern tourist town, which received him with applause, calls of complicity, and gestures of joy from children and adults who enjoyed their meeting with the most requested character of Christmas like little ones.
Dozens of resident and tourist families were outdoors celebrating Christmas Eve, an afternoon of good weather that in Playa Blanca featured the animation of children's characters and the always endearing sound of Christmas music. Boys and girls spoke with Santa Claus, delivered their letters, and received candy while mobile devices did not stop taking photos and recording videos.
Like the wide range of festive and cultural events this end-of-year and Kings season in Yaiza, the City Council organized this new party for its residents to have a fun time sharing illusions and hopes in community.
On behalf of the Institution, the mayor, Óscar Noda, conveys to Yaiza and Lanzarote his wishes for well-being and unity "to continue facing challenges with determination, mutual support, and solidarity, building bridges that connect hearts, for our land, for our beloved Yaiza and Lanzarote."
