Island Christmas arrives at the church of San GInés in Arrecife

Island Christmas took Christmas carols to the main church of San Ginés Obispo yesterday afternoon. First, the Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by the parish priest, Juan Carlos Medina, and assisted by the Deacon, Daniel Romero.

After the mass, the Rancho de Pascuas de Yaiza entered the church through the central aisle, performing the composition "Anunciar o Divino" and once located in the central nave, they continued their performance interpreting "Cantemos, Cantemos", "Venid Pastorcillos", "La historia de un Mesías", 'Gloria", ending their performance with the exit to the outside of the temple "El Lucero".

The public supported them during their performance with applause and the parish priest Juan Carlos Medina congratulated them for their performance, wishing them all the best for the new year 2025.

History of the Rancho de Pascuas de Yaiza

The first appearance of the Rancho de Pascuas de Yaiza dates back to 1971, formed by about 20 members, women and men, directed in the musical part by Miguel Ángel Tavio and chaired by Efrén Santana. In its beginnings, they had very little musical repertoire and today they have increased for its members the most significant thing is to participate in the so-called "Misa del Gallo".

In the church of Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios, in addition to participating in the different "Ranchos Meetings", which are held in the different municipalities of the island.
