The Haría City Council, together with the Lanzarote Council and the island's Art, Culture and Tourism Centers, are organizing the Oktoberfest 2024 next Saturday, October 5, in the coastal town of Charco del Palo. The event, which will take place from 1:00 p.m., promises to be a day of fun and entertainment for the whole family, with free admission for all attendees.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, highlights the importance of this event in the municipality's festive agenda and points out that Oktoberfest is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the festive atmosphere. “We want to invite all residents and visitors to come and enjoy a day full of music and activities."

The day will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the children's area, which will be open until 6:00 p.m., providing a fun space for the little ones. At 1:30 p.m., the Teguise Municipal Band will begin the traditional parade, which will run through the streets of the town until 2:00 p.m.

One of the most anticipated moments will be at 2:00 p.m., with the opening of the barrel, a symbolic act that will officially mark the beginning of the festivities. This event will give way to a new performance by the Municipal Band, which will play until 3:15 p.m.

For his part, the Councilor for Festivities, Alberto de León, points out that the proposal of activities is a meeting for everyone, “both the youngest and the oldest”. In addition, the typical costume contest and the symbolic opening of the barrel “are iconic moments that will undoubtedly make this an unforgettable celebration," he indicates.

From 3:30 p.m., the Kerala group will take to the stage to offer their concert, which will last until 5:30 p.m. Shortly after, at 5:30 p.m., the prize for the best dressed (man) will be awarded.

Live music will continue at 6:00 p.m. with the performance of Too Brass, followed by the group Marco Puma & The Cougars, who will perform from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. During this period, the prize for the best dressed woman will be awarded at 9:00 p.m.

Finally, the band Sin Cobertura will close the festive day with a concert that will last from 9:05 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Haría City Council and other institutions invite residents and tourists not to miss this unique opportunity to enjoy one of the most emblematic festivals of autumn, in a natural and welcoming environment such as Charco del Palo.
