The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has published the minimum services established for the strike called at Air Europa for the first days of May, although the Spanish Union of Airline Pilots (Sepla) has not yet detailed the flights that will be affected.

The strike has been called for May 1, 2, 4 and 5 at all Air Europa bases and workplaces in Spain, in protest of "the unacceptable demands" of the company's management that imply a loss of labor rights for this group.

According to the resolution issued this Friday by the Ministry, 100% of the flights dedicated to emergency work must be respected, while for domestic routes to or from non-peninsular territories, up to 77% of those departing from Lanzarote or Tenerife North must be maintained.

The range of minimum services established for these routes ranges up to a minimum of 50% for flights from Malaga, 53% from Alicante and 55% from Valencia.

For routes within the peninsula whose travel time by public transport is greater than 5 hours and international flights, minimum services must be respected that range between 38% of flights departing from Bilbao; 46% in cases such as Alicante, Barcelona and Seville, and 53% from Madrid.

Regarding domestic peninsular flights whose travel time by public transport is less than 5 hours, minimum services of between 22% and 26% must be offered at points of origin such as Alicante, Valencia or Granada, and 34% in the case of Barcelona.

The company indicates that they are working to reorganize their operations so that, always respecting the rights of workers, customers and the minimum services that are determined, the flights that are in the sales channels are guaranteed.

Air Europa has added that it has reinforced its customer service channels and is working to cause the least inconvenience to its customers, while remaining "totally open" to continue negotiating with Sepla to reach an agreement, as has been done with other groups in the company.

For its part, a Sepla spokesperson explained to EFE that they are studying the established minimum services and that they will presumably issue a statement on the matter on Saturday.
