The price of housing rises in Lanzarote in August, especially in Tinajo

San Bartolomé and Tías break the trend, with decreases of 1.4% and 1.5% respectively, while Arrecife and Yaiza registered only slight increases

The price of housing rose in most of the municipalities of Lanzarote in August, especially in Tinajo, which, with an increase of 11.1%, recovers from the fall of 10.1% it experienced last month. Prices also rose in Haría and Teguise, 4.7% and 3.2% respectively, while growth in Arrecife and Yaiza was only between 1 euro and 4 euros per square meter compared to July. On the opposite side are San Bartolomé and Tías, with 1.4% and 1.5% respective decreases.

Despite the large increase in prices, Tinajo is still the only municipality on the island where the square meter is currently worth less than a year ago, specifically 8.2% less than in August 2021.

However, it serves to reach 1,480 euros per square meter and once again exceed the price of in Arrecife, where it currently costs 1,393 per square meter, compared to 1,392 euros in July. Therefore, Arrecife is once again the municipality on the island with the cheapest square meter.

The second largest increase occurs in Haría, where the square meter is currently worth 4.7% more than last month and reaches 1,799 euros.

The price of housing also rises in Teguise, which with a 3.2% growth reaches 2,159 euros per square meter.

 

In one year, the price of housing in Yaiza has risen by 20%

As in Arrecife, the price per square meter has also varied little in Yaiza, which with an increase of 0.2% reaches 2,703 euros per square meter. However, prices in Yaiza have experienced a growth of 20% in one year, while in Arrecife the year-on-year growth has been only 3.6%.

The municipality where the square meter has grown the most in the last year after Yaiza is Haría, with a 10.5% increase. It is followed by Teguise (5.7%), Tías (5.4%), Arrecife (3.6%) and San Bartolomé (1.8%). The only municipality where it decreases in the year-on-year comparison is precisely Tinajo, with a fall of 8.2%.
