House prices grow twice as fast in the western islands

In the province of Las Palmas, price growth has been more in line with the national average

The average cost of the square price in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria reached 1,663 euros at the close of 2024, which represents an increase of 4.6% compared to last year.

The data from the province of Las Palmas is in line with the national average, which marked a growth of 4.4% year-on-year.

On the other hand, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, prices have grown by 11.5% in the last year to 1,767 euros, according to the Tinsa by Accumin platform, which specializes in valuation, real estate consulting and data analysis.

According to Tinsa, prices in the province of Las Palmas are currently 36.1% above their historical minimums, while those in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are 52.3% higher.

The platform highlights other divergent behaviors in Andalusia, where Malaga stands out; in Castilla y León, which registers a much larger price increase in Soria; in La Mancha, Toledo takes the lead, far above the other provinces of La Mancha; and in Galicia, Pontevedra.
