The Tías City Council has hired 24 unemployed people to carry out the project "Sustainable Beautification of the Environment of the Municipality of Tías" for 6 months, included in the Green and Social Employment Plan of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and financed by the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Those hired are working in different areas of the consistory, such as Culture and Seniors, Social Welfare, Tegoyo, Roads and Works, Archive, Sports and Conecta Tías for the beautification of the municipality.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, the Employment Councilor of the Cabildo, Jorge Peñas, and the Employment Councilor of the City Council, Kalinda Pérez, have highlighted "the relevance" of the different functions that are going to be executed, since all provide a common service that "benefits the entire population."
For the implementation of this plan, the consistory has received a subsidy of 303,906.41 euros.
