Tías will hire 120 people through six employment programs

The programs are subsidized by the Government of the Canary Islands with nearly 2 million euros

The Tías City Council will have this year six new Training Programs alternating with Employment that will allow hiring for one year 120 people over 16 years of age who are registered with the Canarian Employment Service. The Government of the Canary Islands subsidizes the programs with a total investment of 1,928,310.66 euros.

The programs are Dinamiza Tías, Tías en verde, For a cleaner town II, The Tías Web III, Safe Beaches III and Building Future III. The Tías City Council held a meeting this week at the Conecta Tías headquarters, in Puerto del Carmen, with about 50 people linked to different groups working in the municipality and who have contact with the young population.

The objective of this meeting, chaired by the mayor, José Juan Cruz, was to inform the associations about these public employment and training programs, which may be of interest to young people and facilitate their access to work. José Juan Cruz was accompanied by the second deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, the Councilor for Employment, Kalinda Pérez, and the Councilor for Sports, Sergio García.
