The Tías City Council closed this Wednesday morning three Training Programs in Alternation with Employment (PFAE) financed by the Canarian Employment Service (SCE) with 981,564.18 euros (327,188.06 euros each). A total of 60 people have been training and working for a year in different areas of the council and this month their contract has ended.
Throughout 2021 and part of 2022 they have received classes and attended talks and workshops, in addition to having executed numerous actions and works corresponding to the projects called Building Future II, the Tías Web II and Safe Beaches II with excellent results.
During the day, held at the El Fondeadero civic center, Puerto del Carmen, a video was shown with a summary of the actions carried out and with interventions by the directors of the PFAE, Ismael Cruz, Danesa Hernández and Nereida Barreto, in addition to some students.
The act was presided over by the Deputy Minister of Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, Gustavo Santana, and the Mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, who were accompanied by the Councilor for Employment, Kalinda Pérez, and the other councilors of the government group, all involved in the work of the programs.
Gustavo Santana stated that the Tías City Council "is a clear example of the administration that trusts and requests support for projects like these, "which generate opportunities." Today nothing ends, now everything begins, because you are placing yourselves in an optimal position to access the labor market," the Deputy Minister told the students.
José Juan Cruz also addressed the student-workers, management team, teaching and administrative staff, "to thank them for their involvement in this municipality." He added that "not only have they known how to take advantage of the opportunity to train and grow professionally, but they have generously contributed all their worth to carry out the projects and improve the municipality of Tías." Cruz made special mention of the family and friends of the young Borja González, a student of one of the PFAEs who sadly passed away.
The first mayor praised the work of all the departments of the City Council and its workers and technical team. He recalled that "in this mandate we have processed 14 PFAEs, in addition to other employment agreements, which represents an investment of 6,676,730 euros in the municipality of Tías and the hiring of 469 people."
Kalinda Pérez personally congratulated the entire team of the three PFAEs and noted "the commitment they have shown in the execution of the projects, an implication that will have a positive result both in their personal and work lives, where I am sure they will have new opportunities. I encourage you to continue with that spirit of overcoming and collaboration."
New PFAEs from this month
Early in the day this Tuesday, the presentation and hiring of the management, coordination and administrative team of three new PFAEs that will begin shortly in the municipality also took place at the Tías City Council: Tías in green, Dinamiza Tías and For a cleaner town II.
