The Tías City Council received this Tuesday 16 people from the municipality who were registered with the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) and who will begin working for the council starting this Wednesday, November 16, as a result of the launch of the project “Tías is moving for employment 2022-2023”, co-financed by the Comprehensive Employment Plan of the Canary Islands.
Those hired will work for one year in the areas of the Mayor's Office, Employment, Sports, Social Welfare and Roads and Works as administrative assistants, computer assistant technician, sports physical activities technician, social worker, language teacher, janitors, bricklayer, painter, gardener, laborer and truck driver.
The Tías City Council has received a subsidy from the Government of the Canary Islands amounting to 319,407.93 euros. The project is included in the framework collaboration agreement between the Canary Islands Employment Service and the Canary Islands Federation of Municipalities for the development of useful and reintegration tasks within the framework of the Social Employment Program for the period 2022-2023.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the second deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, accompanied by the councilors of Human Resources, Employment and Sports, Tomás Silvera, Kalinda Pérez and Sergio García, welcomed the workers, who will carry out their work in different areas of the local administration.
