As the popular candidate did in the 2003 campaign, she insists on the need to create a Council in Costa Teguise with the capacity to assist and serve the residents who live in the town and from which to channel their demands. For Martín, a "City Council aware of the reality of this population center from both a residential and tourist point of view" is a priority, so she adds to her commitments the implementation of a Tourism Council from which to promote a comprehensive tourism plan and the incorporation of the rest of the municipality into rural tourism and other modalities.
Rita Martín demands stable governments for Teguise, with "serious and responsible" people, who are capable of articulating future policies, "who know how to take advantage of the municipality's wealth and reinvest it in improvements for the citizens."
The PP's project in Teguise includes the creation of a Local Police Headquarters and the expansion of staff and resources to guarantee security throughout the municipality 24 hours a day.
