The average price of apartments and hotels in Lanzarote stood at 102.03 euros per night in April, compared to 68.16 euros on the same date in 2021, 50% more, according to the Tourist Accommodation Survey of ISTAC, collected by the Lanzarote Data Center.

And without counting other types of services that the establishment could offer, the hotels mark an average rate of 115.92 euros per night, 51% more than last year, when the price was 76.56 euros. For their part, the apartments set their price at 66.02 euros in April, 16 euros more than in 2021 (50.09 euros).

Also, all tourist establishments increase on average between 4 and 6 euros compared to the month of March, taking advantage of the impulse of Easter, a period in which they achieved an occupancy of 77.2%, thus confirming their forecasts.

Revenues fall compared to March

Despite raising rates, in terms of income, the accommodations earned 60,646,260 euros in April, a figure that is surprising in a month with such an influx of travelers, since they earned almost three million less than the previous month.

However, they improve their figures compared to 2021 by 1791%, when they only earned 3,207,123, due to the impact of the pandemic restrictions that were in place.

Specifically, the bulk of the money in the fourth month of the year was taken by hotels, with 49,719,765 euros and apartments 10,926,495.
