It is the company that generates the most jobs in the Canary Islands
With data closed for the 2019 financial year, the workforce amounts to 7,855 people, making it the company that generates the most jobs, even above other sectors such as energy, new technologies or security.
Using the methodology of the Input - Output Tables (a widely used economic analysis model), it is possible to estimate the indirect and induced impact on the rest of the employment in the economy of the Canary Islands. In this way, the estimated social impact translates into 11,783 equivalent jobs in 2019, which is equivalent to 1.3% of the total employment in the Canary Islands.
That year, in addition, the Labor Stability Project initiated in 2018 continued, with the completion of 1,044 more permanent contracts.
The commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities in its workforce is a reality, which was materialized in the hiring of 108 people, exceeding the 2% required by law for companies with more than 50 workers.
Continuity of its low price policy
Through negotiations with suppliers and improvements in commercial conditions, the chain continues with its firm policy of offering the best prices in the Canary Islands, in a commitment to the society of the islands, where the purchasing power of the population is medium-low and unemployment levels are one of the highest in the country, with the added cost overruns derived from the condition of outermost region.
According to the Annual Supermarket Prices Study prepared by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) made public in October 2020, HiperDino has consolidated itself as a leading chain in the Archipelago and with the largest number of cheaper stores in the Canary Islands.

Support during the pandemic
Since the beginning of the first state of alarm, the DinoSol Foundation donated 355 tons of food to 50 social entities with the aim of alleviating the poverty caused by the pandemic.

The purpose of this initiative is to reduce food waste in the chain's stores and donate to soup kitchens those products that will not be marketed but are suitable for consumption. To date, more than 321 tons have been donated.
To all this must be added the donation of 100,000 masks for elderly people residing in nursing homes at the beginning of the pandemic, valued at 300,000 euros.
Measures respectful of the environment
