The Taguera Dental Clinic in Arrecife was the meeting point for several expert dentists who attended the presentation of a revolutionary dental implant system, the Index Ankyles system, created by the [University of Frankfurt->http://www.uni-frankfurt.de/]. The event, sponsored by the international company Dentsplay in collaboration with the Taguera Dental Clinic, had a distinguished guest of honor, Dr. Weigl, professor of prosthetics at the University of Frankfurt and one of the best dentists worldwide, who explained the structure of the system to the attendees.

Among the professionals attending the presentation were Dr. Javier Alandez, director of the Perio Clinic in Madrid, as well as Juan Blanco Carrión, president of the Spanish Society of Periodontics. Also present were Francisco Rodríguez, director of the Master of Periodontics at the [European University of Madrid->http://www.uem.es/], Dr. Héctor Rodríguez, president of the College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Las Palmas, and the Head of the Maxillofacial Service of the University Clinic of Navarra, Héctor Montesdeoca.

20 years of experience

"This conference presents a new implant system that is revolutionary in many aspects, with more than 20 years of application experience. We thought it was a good opportunity to bring in the best speaker, Dr. Weigl, who comes precisely from the University of Frankfurt, the creator of the Ankylos system," said Jorge Suárez, director of Dentsplay, who pointed out the effectiveness of the new implant system, which simplifies the processes for professionals and at the same time achieves more lasting results in dental hygiene and aesthetics.

The new system, which has arrived in Spain for the first time this year, has behind it a 20-year track record of testing and application at the University of Frankfurt, an aspect that ensures its effectiveness.

A challenge for Lanzarote

"The fact of having organized this event in Lanzarote has been a challenge, especially having the presence of Dr. Weigl. In our clinic, we are very committed to training and we believe that we have to go one step further," said Dr. Enrique Plata, from the Taguera Dental Clinic, who criticized the limited implementation of dentistry in public health by the various governments that have been succeeding each other. The second day of the event will take place on Saturday, with several presentations of clinical cases that will be recorded and broadcast live to the Taguera Training Room.
