The company Renovertis S.L. has requested authorization from the Government of the Canary Islands to install a six-megawatt wind farm in Las Caletas with an investment of 7.6 million euros. This is stated this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, where an announcement from the General Directorate of Industry and Energy is published, submitting the company's request for a declaration of public utility and environmental impact assessment to public information.

The Vista del Mar Wind Farm, as it would be called, would consist of two wind turbines, one of four megawatts of power and the other of two. In addition, the installation of two transformation centers housed in each wind turbine is planned, two underground lines that will run from each wind turbine to the energy delivery center, a prefabricated delivery center, a measurement tower and an underground evacuation line will run from the delivery center to the connection point that is also planned to be installed.

As stated in the BOC, the declaration of public utility "will implicitly entail the need to occupy the assets or acquire the rights and will imply the urgent occupation" for the purposes of the Forced Expropriation Law. In this regard, a list of the assets that would be affected is published, including a plot owned by the Teguise City Council, another by Unelco, two belonging to Bankia, one to the companies Fabrecar, Tamicar and Rosario Cabrera Tavío e Hijos and a sixth to a private individual.

The owners and holders affected by the installation, as well as any interested party, have a period of 30 days from the day following the publication of the announcement, that is, from this Wednesday, to present any allegations they deem appropriate.
