Agents of the Civil Guard and Local Police intervened on Friday morning in a verbal assault on a midwife from the Costa Teguise health center, as confirmed by police sources to La Voz.
The events occurred around 09:30 hours, at which time the agents went to the scene after a call from the health center alerting them to the situation.
From the Local Police of Teguise, they stated that the alleged aggressor suffers from mental health problems.
Thanks to the police intervention, the situation did not escalate and the victim, an employee of the hospital center, decided at the scene not to file a complaint against the alleged aggressor, although it is not ruled out that she may do so.
It should be noted that in Spain, assault on health personnel constitutes the possible commission of a crime against authority and public officials, regulated by the Penal Code in articles between 550 and 556.
