Binter renewed this Tuesday its collaboration agreement by which the airline supports, for another year, the work carried out by the Canary Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICCH) to collect and supply blood and blood products to all hospital centers on the islands.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, José Manuel Baltar and Christian Méndez, Minister of the area and president of the ICHH, respectively, were present, and representing Binter were its Commercial Director, Miguel Ángel Suárez, and its Director of Institutional Relations and Communication, Noelia Curbelo.
The main objective of this agreement is to maintain collaboration between both institutions, favoring free shipping from the main headquarters of the ICHH to all centers in the Canary Islands.

This collaboration has so far made it possible to offer an immediate and necessary service for the health system and for Canarian society. Until October of this year, Binter's planes have transported more than 30,900 kilos for the ICHH free of charge, with savings for this entity of around 50,000 euros.
In parallel, and jointly, a campaign will be launched during the first half of December to promote donation among the airline's employees to help improve blood reserves for Christmas, and on December 12, the ICHH mobile units will visit Binter's two headquarters.
In addition, Binter will contribute to spreading the work of the ICHH on all its flights for a month, in its onboard magazine, and through the airline's social networks.
The free transportation of blood is another example of Binter's commitment to contributing to improving life in the Canary Islands through corporate social responsibility.
With this objective, the airline has developed a network of collaborations in the social, cultural and sports fields with different entities that it supports in their work.
