Young people between 16 and 29 years old who are not studying or working at the moment, but need a job, have a free support program, which includes guidance and training, until they join the labor market.
The Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE), of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote, designs a tailor-made itinerary, taking into account what interests the young person, their degree of qualification and the skills that can lead them more quickly to labor insertion.
The courses are programmed according to the demand of the companies to guarantee high percentages of hiring. More than fifty percent of the young people who have participated in the PICE, obtained a job in the first six months of the program.
Sales and Entrepreneur School Open
New specializations begin in March, Sales School, which responds to the need for efficient and qualified salespersons, requested by the companies of the island, and the Entrepreneur Factory for those who aspire to create their own company, where they will be able to find out if their idea has a future, what investment they need and how to get it, among other aspects.
The companies attached to this program transfer their lack of qualified professionals and guarantee a high rate of hiring.
The PICE Program aims to find a professional outlet for young people who have dropped out of their studies or have completed their training and who, at present, are not working or receiving training. It is designed by the Chambers of Commerce and is part of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Strategy of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, thanks to the co-financing of the European Social Fund and the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
