The National Police have arrested 47 Spanish citizens and one British citizen in the Canary Islands after dismantling one of the largest cocaine trafficking networks from Colombia and Brazil, which operated with narco-boats in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura and to which 3,800 kilos have been seized and more are expected to be seized.

The Government Delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana; the superior head of Police in the islands, Jesús María Gómez Martín; and the head of the Central Narcotics Brigade (UDYCO), Antonio Martínez Duarte, have reported this Friday on the operation, called 'Black Shadow', directed by the Central Court of Instruction number 3 and the Special Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office of the National Court.
