The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has complied this Friday with the resolution of the Constitutional Court by which it admits for processing the conflict of competences promoted by the central government against the Canarian decree of December 9 that admits antigen tests to enter the islands.

However, in a press conference held after the meeting of the Security Board to finalize the new restrictions on mobility in Tenerife, he said that his Executive will present allegations and is already working with the legal services on the possibility of drafting a new decree.

Torres believes that it is a problem "more of form than substance" and is "convinced" that they will end up being implemented, since other communities such as the Balearic Islands already use them in screenings "and science is moving so fast" that they will end up being approved.

However, he pointed out that they will continue negotiating with the central Executive to "give security" to mobility in the archipelago.
