María Jesús Montero will be promoted to the rank of vice president in Pedro Sánchez's new government

The Canary Islander Ángel Víctor Torres will be the new Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, according to Socialist sources speaking to EFE.

The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, will be promoted to the rank of vice president in Pedro Sánchez's new government, while the former president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, will hold the Territorial Policy portfolio, and the former mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, will hold the Industry portfolio.

Socialist sources have informed EFE of these appointments by the head of the Executive, who plans to appear this Monday at the Palacio de la Moncloa to report on the composition of his new Cabinet. 

These are the new ministers

Ángel Víctor Torres (PSOE). Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory.

Óscar Puente (PSOE). Minister of Transport.

Jordi Hereu (PSOE). Minister of Industry.

Elma Saiz (PSOE). Minister of Social Security.

Ana Redondo (PSOE). Minister of Equality.

Pablo Bustinduy (Sumar). Minister of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030.

Sira Rego (Sumar). Minister of Children and Youth.

Ernest Urtasun (Sumar). Minister of Culture.

Mónica García (Sumar). Minister of Health.
