The nephew of Sindo Álvarez, who passed away this Wednesday, April 27, wanted to write a few words of farewell to his uncle.
Sindo Álvarez was a reference of the Canarian fight in Lanzarote, being one of the most important fighters of the C.L. Tao in the 80s. In addition, he worked for several decades in the Yayo plumbing, from where he had recently retired.
Letter content
"We'll see each other, now when you come back", the phrase that I will have engraved forever. For not giving me time to return, for not seeing the smile on your face again, a smile that did not hide any background, other than that of your kindness. For always reaching out that strong hand, like someone who always speaks from the heart. For not seeing you proud again of your work, your family, your friends. For not coming back in time, I'm sorry.
Thank you uncle, for being support and joy. For being part of your family, a family that you leave now, but that will remember you eternally. Now it is time for you to continue spreading your joy, that although we are sad here, we look and know that you do not abandon us.
Here you leave a lot, an immense void that harasses, but without a doubt time recomposes us, your departure is something that we did not have in mind, but that unites, uniting in these lines that want to dedicate your whole family.
