The General Directorate of Emergencies, based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), has declared the pre-alert for heat from 08:00 hours this Tuesday in Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands.

Specifically, temperatures may exceed 30 degrees and reach 34 in different parts of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma (in the eastern half in areas located more than 600 meters above sea level and in the western half more than 400 meters), and in El Hierro, La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria in areas located more than 600 meters to the north and more than 400 meters in the rest of the slopes.

In addition, during this Tuesday the skies will be clear although with some cloudy intervals in the north at the first and last hours of the day. Also, the haze at altitude will remain present although it will begin to subside.

This situation adds to the pre-alert for wind declared by the Government of the Canary Islands on Monday, which has left gusts of almost 60 kilometers per hour in places like Tías.
