New York has its Brooklyn Bridge, San Francisco the Golden Gate and Lisbon the 25th of April. All these cities have in their hanging elements one of their main tourist attractions. The case of Arrecife and its hanging cables is very different, since its abundance is far from providing attractiveness to the city.

When walking through the capital of Lanzarote, through its different streets and neighborhoods, it is inevitable to find numerous cables visible on the outside of the facades. This situation, which lasts over the years, recreates a particular aesthetic that unsightly the city.

The complaints that reach our newsroom on a recurring basis have inspired this particular walk through a city in which hanging cables have already acquired the character of a distinctive stamp.
