Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote added a valuable draw (22-22) in their visit to Vino Doña Berenguela Bolaños, in a match full of intensity and marked by controversy. The leaders of the Women's Honor Gold Division dominated in phases, but a rigorous expulsion of Agustina López in the first half and the insistence of the Manchego team prevented the Lanzarote team from taking the victory in a heart-stopping final.

The match started with imprecision in both teams, although Zonzamas managed to find its rhythm quickly. With a well-distributed attack and a solid defense, they took the lead by putting themselves 3 goals ahead. But in a matter of minutes, the Bolañegas returned to the match and approached dangerously on the scoreboard until in the 20th minute Agustina López was sent off with a straight red card in an action that did not seem to deserve the maximum penalty.

This emotional blow was taken advantage of by Bolaños, who equalized the score and took the lead shortly after with a great outside shot by Sofía Gull (11-10, min. 24). Despite the local push, Zonzamas managed to maintain composure and reached halftime with a 12-12 draw.

In the first minutes of the second half, the Lanzarote team showed its best version with Ingrid Roger leading the attack and with Ana Martín very secure under the posts. With this balance, Zonzamas shifted into a higher gear and regained its maximum advantage in the 8th minute with 13-16, giving the feeling that it could break the match.

However, the solidity of Bolaños and the lack of forcefulness in key moments prevented Zonzamas from sealing the match. The locals reduced the distance to just one goal in the 15th minute, and the equality was maintained until the final stretch, with an 18-18 draw in the 18th minute. When Bolaños managed to take the lead in the 24th (21-20), the Zonzamas coach called a time-out in an attempt to change the dynamic.

The Lanzarote team responded with character, recovering the 22-22 draw in the final minutes. With only 40 seconds to play, Bolaños requested their last time-out to prepare a final winning play, but the Zonzamas defense resisted the final onslaught and the match ended in a draw.

With this draw, Zonzamas Plus Car Lanzarote maintains its solid leadership in the Women's Honor Gold Division. Despite the bittersweet taste of the result, the team showed character on one of the most difficult courts in the competition. Next matchday, the Lanzarote team will seek to rediscover victory at home against Cleba and continue to set the pace of the competition.
