UD Lanzarote had no margin for error in their match this Sunday against Unión Puerto, being obliged to conquer the three points that were at stake and not get into trouble in the Third Division standings. The locals won 2-0 against Unión Puerto, thanks to the goals scored by Hamza in the first half and Rami at the start of the second half.
After some initial minutes in which the match did not have a clear dominator, little by little UD Lanzarote was taking over the weight of the match. The first local warning was starred by Omar, finishing off a pass from Ayoze from the left wing that was lost over the crossbar. After the first half hour, Hamza managed to sneak the ball between the three posts with a shot from the edge of the area.
At the beginning of the second half came the second goal of UD Lanzarote. A play by Miguel Gómez on the left wing served to send a cross to the heart of the area, with Rami finishing off the ball to send it into the back of the net. From that moment on, the local team gave the ball to the opponent and Unión Puerto did not have clear ideas to generate danger.
In the final minutes, the Lanzarote team could have increased the advantage they had acquired. Ale Fuentes executed a free kick from the edge of the area, with goalkeeper Paquito responding with a good intervention to send the ball to a corner kick. With the 2-0 the match came to an end, with UD Lanzarote adding a much-needed victory to change the dynamic.
