UD Lanzarote visited CD Tenerife “B”'s stronghold on Sunday morning, measuring themselves against one of the teams that is presumed to be in the upper zone and that arrived after winning their last two matches. The match quickly became uphill for the rojillo team, conceding a goal at the start of the match. In the middle of the second half, the Brazilian Alyson rescued a point for the Lanzarote team.
The first part of the match was dominated by the CD Tenerife “B” reserve team, facing a UD Lanzarote that waited for its rival in its area of the field and was not able to generate much danger on the goal defended by Víctor. The visiting team had to endure the “downpour” during the first 45 minutes.
CD Tenerife “B” only took two minutes to take the lead on the scoreboard. After a rehearsed play, Dylan touched in short for Teto's shot from the edge of the area, and the powerful shot from the blue and white player surpassed goalkeeper Ruymán's stretch, who could do nothing.
The local team had several chances to increase the differences in the first half. Before half an hour, Dylan, after an individual play, gave way to Matías and the former Marítima player in the one-on-one with Ruymán could not send the ball into the back of the net. Shortly after, the UD Lanzarote goalkeeper had to work hard to avoid another one-on-one from Lie.
In the second half, CD Tenerife “B” was unable to maintain the pace of the first half, and little by little UD Lanzarote grew on the pitch of the Javier Pérez Sports City and began to dominate the center of the field.
As a result of the visiting team's dominance, the equalizing goal would arrive in the 69th minute of the match. A foul taken short by Miguel Gopar was used by Alyson to enter the area and with a powerful crossed shot sent the ball into the back of the net defended by Víctor.
Before the end of the match, CD Tenerife “B” had chances in David and Teto's boots to establish the second goal on the scoreboard, but the result would be immovable and with the draw at one goal the 90 minutes of the match came to an end.
UD Lanzarote, with 13 points, is in third place in the classification of group XII of the Third Division RFEF. Next Sunday, October 24, the first Lanzarote derby of the season will arrive, with the rojillo team receiving Unión Sur Yaiza at the Lanzarote Sports City.
